Personality

One half of the Danver sisters, Summer is down-to-earth and dependable. No task is too far below Summer, especially if someone needs her help. Despite her willingness to help her community, Summer can be guarded with her personal life. Sure, she'll fix your porch for you, but don't expect her to divulge all her secrets and become instant friends in the process. The people Summer considers close are few in number, and even they might not know how much she cares. Likely only Juniper knows what's really going on in that thick skull of hers.She can be bull-headed in her determination to see a project through, even when it's giving her and the people around her a hard time. But she is volunteer-minded and frugal, putting community betterment above personal gain. If it can be done well for cheaper, you better believe Summer Danvers is going to save you that money.Summer is a tinkerer through and through. She not only loves to learn how things work - she's damn good at it, too. From small things like bobbers and spinners to larger projects like their small fishing boat and homes, Summer can build it, fix it, or make it better if given enough time to learn about it. She spends whatever time she has not tinkering fishing with her sister, and is particularly fond of setting and pulling traps for little crustaceans like crayfish.

History

Summer and her sister come from a small lake town just a few days from Gale's End. They've lived together almost all their lives, learning to fish from their parents. Summer learned most of what she knows about tinkering from their mom, because their dad was far more accident prone with a hammer.They were safe from The Storm for a long time, until a town upriver got ravaged. Pollutants spilled into the water, eventually making their way downriver until the lake was contaminated. Fish populations declined, and there wasn't enough life left in the ecosystem to sustain their family. Summer and Juniper hopped on a train together, headed to Gale's End where fishing is still viable. Summer knows without a doubt that Gale's End could meet the same fate, but is determined to help the community rebuild and grow in the meantime. If she can build it back stronger, maybe it will weather The Storm when it comes.
